Second, it has two pitch-shifter effects on it according to the manual, both of which say they can go 2 octaves up and 2 octaves down, just like DigiTech's Whammy effect, and the manual also claims the pitch-shifters are polyphonic, which is lacking from most pitch-shifter effects even on much more expensive multi-effects pedals. First, I have a Valeton Rushead Max pocket amp which I love, so I have prior positive experience with the company. It comes in at $150, so I would need to save up a bit longer before I can get it, but there are two main reasons I find it appealing. I was looking at newer pedals, and the Valeton GP-100 is currently the most appealing to me. However, they are discontinued and appear to be a decade or two old, so I am a bit worried about being able to find a suitable replacement if it dies, and the pedal working with my computer if I decide I want to do any recording.
Digitech rpx400 manual series#
There is a DigiTech RPx400 near me locally on Facebook Marketplace for only $50, and the main reason I find it appealing is because DigiTech makes the Whammy series of dedicated pitch-bending pedals, and they do include the Whammy effect on most of their multi-effects pedals. The primary two I am currently considering are a DigiTech RPx400 and a Valeton GP-100. I primarily want a whammy/pitch-bending effect, but am planning to get a multi-effects pedal because they are typically cheaper than dedicated pitch-bending pedals and most seem to have the majority of the features of a dedicated pitch-bending pedal in addition to a plethora of other effects and even amp models to explore. I am looking into getting a multi-effects pedal as my first pedal. List of recommended Youtube gear channels!
